If a rider is young, has special needs or in need of extra assistance, a helper can be arranged to be with during a semi-private or group lesson for an additional $5.

The first step in getting started in the lesson program is contact Jennifer via email or contact form.  The second step is to schedule a lesson tour which details will be provided in response to your message to Jennifer.  This tour will provide an introduction to our facility as well as our lesson program.  After the lesson tour is completed, the next step would be to contact us via email or contact form to request access to our lesson calendar program to be able to schedule your first lesson.  You will be given instructions to an online waiver that allows you access to Equine Office program which offers the SFS Lessons Calendar.  The final step is to bring to the first lesson the three completed lesson forms, links below. Some information on the Lesson Agreement will be filled out with Jennifer.

LESSONS REQUIREMENTS: Ages 5-80+ years. Beginner to Experienced. Appropriate dress required--boot with 1/2 inch heel, comfortable clothing/pants for outdoor weather. SEI-ASTM approved helmet provided.

RIDING LESSON: hands on basic grooming, care and handling, riding logic, equitation and safety, while offering a variety of disciplines.

RIDING DISCIPLINES: Hunt seat, Western, trail, and recreational riding.

DRIVING LESSON: proper and safe ground skills, harnessing, hitching, training, reinsmanship, various driving disciplines and activities (pleasure, show, obstacle), and vehicle type, function and understanding.

GOAL OF PROGRAM: Promote practical and fun activities and whole horse understanding.
